Storing holiday-let contents in the off-season
By StoreBox.cy · · 5 min read
Holiday lets around Paphos, Coral Bay and Peyia accumulate a surprising amount of seasonal kit: sun loungers, parasols, spare linen, cots, garden furniture and replacement stock. A storage unit keeps it safe between seasons and leaves the property clear for cleaning and maintenance.
What owners usually store
The most common items are outdoor furniture and cushions, pool equipment, spare bedding and towels, high chairs and travel cots, and replacement appliances. Storing them off-site also keeps them out of reach during off-season repairs.
Prepare items before the season ends
Wash and fully dry linen and cushion covers before packing them, ideally in sealed plastic crates. Clean and dry outdoor furniture, fold parasols properly, and drain any pool equipment that holds water.
- Label crates by property if you manage more than one.
- Keep an inventory so housekeepers know what is in storage.
- Put spring-start items (linen, cushions) nearest the door.
Use the off-season for renovations
Winter is when most owners repaint, retile or refit kitchens. Clearing the property into a container before the builders arrive protects furniture from dust and damage and lets the work finish faster.
Plan access for the start of the season
Drive-up access means you or your team can load straight into a van in one trip. Book the date you will collect everything well before your first guests arrive, so set-up is not squeezed into the last weekend.
